James River Air Conditioning was established in the Richmond community and was built on an entrepreneurial spirit that provides world- class service with all the warmth, spirit and conviction of a locally owned and operated business. This philosophy has kept us growing since 1967. Our Residential Department specializes in home comfort systems. We service and install air conditioners, heat pumps, mini-splits, furnaces, boilers, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, and air cleaners. We service all makes and models of heat pumps, air conditioners, furnaces, boilers, and indoor air quality equipment.Our Commercial Department specializes in commercial comfort systems and building automation systems. Our team of technicians service and install air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, chillers, VAV systems, cooling towers, duct systems, ventilation systems, economizers, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, and air cleaners.Both our residential and commercial service departments offer a variety of preventive maintenance plans, from basic maintenance to full coverage including repair parts and labor. We also offer electrical and plumbing services, including wiring, upgrades, water heaters, backflow preventers, and medical gas piping.Our Energy Solutions Group is exploring all practical energy strategies that will make more and more sense for our clients as they seek clean, renewable, safe power that reduces our dependence on foreign oil. We provide home energy audit services and offer practical green solutions including solar, geothermal, and insulation services.

Keith Johnson was very respectful, honest and had a high level of knowledge and experience; he was called to assist on a job and figured out what was wrong with our 23yr old air equipment, if not for Keith my Church (MT. Vernon Baptist) would be looking at replacing that equipment but by repairing it we now can keep our older members cool this summer; I write this post because Mr. Keith Johnson represents James River Co. and after 15yrs on contract with them, we are truly satisfied customers and we plan to remain so because of techs like Keith Johnson.

Great experience with James River Air. They came out same day to correct a cooling issue. Mike, the service technician was courteous, listened carefully to the issue we were experiencing and corrected the issue in minutes. We had used them for an annual service contract for years at our old residence. I went ahead and engaged them going forward at our current residence. I would recommend them.

We are very pleased with James River and the services they provide. Mike Desper, the technician, has been to service our units twice and both times was punctual, polite and courteous, and knowledgeable about the service he was providing.

Brian C. was on time at 7:30 and was done in about an hour. He was thorough and did his inspection. He changed the filter for me, and made sure my humidifier was properly shut down.

We have used this company to replace and maintain all 3 HVAC units in our house, as well as our tankless hot water heater. The technicians are friendly and professional. The warranties offered have also been fantastic, so far everything we've had to have done has been completely covered.

Kyle D was very polite and prompt. He figured out the issue with my fridge very quickly and precise. I didn't know James River did appliances until I saw on the tv they have been doing my maint on my heat pump but was relieved when I found out. Kyle did an exceptional job and a glad to have James River as our new appliance company!!!!!!
