This was a super fun way to spend an afternoon on the water. We had a beautiful day out, & were able to see a Grey whale and her calf along the coast. After we turned around to lead back, they breached a couple times and we got a great view of them playing. Our guide, Andrea, was super friendly and stopped by a bunch of times to chat and answer questions. I'd definitely do this again!

My wife flew in for the weekend, so I decided to schedule the 2 1/2 hr on Saturday. The boat was packed but there was plenty of room outside. We saw a lot of dolphins, sea lions and sea otters. No whales but it's not that the captain didn't try. We covered a lot of ocean and the trip was around 2 1/2hrs. The beer was cold, boat was nice and it was a pleasant day out on the water with my wife. When my boys come out, we will book this trip again.

I had a trip planned to Orange County to visit my son in college and was bringing my other son who is 10 years old with me. We had one day where we would be on our own so I decided he would love a whale watching tour. I did some research and decided on Harbor Breeze Cruises. I am so glad I did. The employees and crew are friendly and professional. Best tip is to line up early, like an hour before your time. We thought the people in line were waiting for the harbor tour so we sat nearby until we realized that it was both tours lining up. They had 2 boats for this time. We were some of the last to get on the first boat so we ended up inside. To be fair, I think they should let you go on either boat. Sitting inside ended up working for us as we don't like lots of sun and it was windy. Whenever we wanted to, we could go outside. You know when they spot something and we had no problem seeing it and getting great videos and photos. We will definitely be going on another tour to see what we d

I've been whale watching in newport beach a few different times, so we decided to try in long beach, and we were impressed! We went on a Saturday and we saw at least 2-3 different whales. The crew was really interested in actually looking all over to find whales, which we didn't have happen much in newport.

Saw three whales and a few dolphins. Clean boat. The whole process is very organized. Getting to the dock is super easy. It is very important that you line up an hour before your tour. Also, wear warm clothes. It is freezing out there. A lot of people were barfing everywhere. One man was making those gross barf gargling sounds, and little kid was throwing up on her parents lap. Enjoy!

Capt Tom was the best, told really corny jokes but had a lot of good information for a native Californian to appreciate. I'd recommend the 45 min cruise for anyone who just wants to be out on the ocean for a tolerable amount of time. Capt. Tom was the best

This company was very wonderfully accommodating. We had booked a funeral service cruise to release our family members ashes over the ocean. We had a party of about 40 people with children. It was a very beautiful experience. We got to play songs, release flowers and send off our Papa in a way he would have been proud of. Thank you for making the process flawless.

Beautiful boat, smooth cruise, personable crew, knowledgeable Aquarium expert narrating, sea lions, dolphins and multiple grey whales (including a mama and calf!) made our Harbor Breeze whale watching trip everything we wanted and more! Amazing! This is the right company in the right place to have a wonderful day.

My bf and I purchased the package at aquarium of the pacific that included admission to the aquarium as well as a 2.5 hour whale watching trip. It was so much fun and well worth the $99 (about $50 for each person). We saw 3 different types of Dolphins, one of which were very playful and were swimming all around our boat. And two whales, one grey and one fin. We also saw several seals. IT gets chilly onboard so I suggest future customers to bring a jacket and cash (there is a snack bar on the lower level of the boat). They also snap a photo of your group prior to boarding which is available for purchase at the end of the ride. Overall we had a great time.

Had a great time whale watching. Boat was crowded. Seen a few whales. Mandy who was from the Aquarium was awesome. Lots of info her.

Just got back from the cruise and I have to admit...my husband and I were a bit skeptical about taking the 3:00pm cruise BUT we are so glad we did! As soon as we departed we saw some bottlenose dolphins. Once we were in the open waters we saw tons of pacific white sided dolphins. About an hour into the cruise we saw them...a pod of 5 gray whales and it was magical! We stayed with them for about 30mins and they did not disappoint. Thank you Capt. Kevin, for the experience.

Purchased the 2.5 whale watch tour through a Social Living offer. My family and I really enjoyed this and the cetation specialist on board was very knowledgeable and added much insight about whales & dolphins. It was a wonderful experience and I recommend to this to everyone!

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. Grey whales (and calf), dolphins and sea lions all in one afternoon on board a beautiful boat with a crew that was friendly and informative. Highly recommend this for all ages.

I came here with friends and we had a great time. The weather was perfect and we saw three whales together, which was awesome. They did a great job on spotting them and telling everyone where to look and talked about the whales and their migration south. It was very interesting and we all enjoyed it. We also saw a bunch of dolphins and they circled the boat around, so they would play in the waves. We got great video of it.

There is a little snack bar inside with a few options for sodas, beer & snacks and the pricing is pretty reasonable. Parking can be a pain down by the aquarium, so I definitely suggest avoiding the parking structure right next to the aquarium and opt for the one on the other side of the street next to Hooters. There's no wait and it's way easier to get in/out. If you grab a snack/drink in the shopping center area afterwards they'll validate your parking and it'll cost about $3.

Harbor Breeze, you made me look like the best mom ever. My 10 year old who gets bored easily thoroughly enjoyed the tour and said he wanted to go again on our next trip. Thank you!

Despite not seeing any whales on our 3 hour tour, the children and ourselves had a great time. The weather was beautiful, the staff were kind, knowledgeable & helpful. When a pod of dolphins were spotted, the captain sped up & the dolphins played in the wake of the waves, it was awesome! There were about 75 dolphins swimming on all sides of the ship. The kids really enjoyed that. Overall, it was a memorable experience and I will do it again. Thank you Harbor Breeze Cruises.

Thanks Harbor Breeze Cruises for bring me so close to a whale! This is one of the most memorable moments I had during my stay in Long Beach. I love sea life, and it was such a touching moment for me to be so close to whales and to where they thrive. It's $35 dollars for this two and a half hour cruise, but well worth it. YOU WILL SEE WHALES!! I got seasick and slept, but every time I opened my eyes, I saw a whale! There is a specialist from the aquarium that goes on this cruise with you, and they explain to you about the different whales and their lifestyles.

Definitely enjoyed this cruise. 45 minutes is just enough time to soak in the breeze after a warm day. The sea lions are so cute to watch and the Queen Mary is honestly a gem. Such a large ship and it's docked close enough for you to see its actual size on the cruise. The captain (I guess that's what you call him) was very knowledgeable and gave us time to admire the sea lions. I wish it was less crowded though.
