The Center for Developmental Disabilities offers various clinical, residential and habilitation programs. Its adult programs provide day treatment, supported employment, in-home waiver and individual support services. The center s clinical services focus on psychology, social work, speech and nursing disciplines. Its nursing care unit emphasizes on the prevention, promotion, maintenance and restoration of health. The center also operates a school that offers educational and therapeutic services to children in the age group of 5 to 21 years. Its school offers special education classes, art therapy, psychological services, community volunteerism, vocational training and family services. Established in 1958, the center serves more than 400 children and adults in over 10 facilities. The Center for Developmental Disabilities is located in Woodbury, N.Y.
