General Info

Dr. Brimer was raised in Gastonia, NC. She graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a BS in Biology and minor in Chemistry. She received her Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN in 2000. She then moved to Wilmington to begin her career and pursue private practice. Dr. Brimer is very active in the American Optometric Association and the NC State Optometric Society. She currently serves as VP of the Southeastern district and is also pursuing her Fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry. When she is not seeing patients, Dr. Brimer travels all over the country speaking to other Optometrists on ways to improve their practices and clinical care. She is also published in several Optometric journals. When not serving Optometry, She enjoys spending time on the water with her husband, Joe, and their dog Lea.

Very personal care

Dr. Brimer is extremely attentive and thorough. She takes time to explain everything and works very hard to make sure every aspect of the issue is taken care of. She truly cares and is excellent at what she does.
