Edgecombe County Public Schools offers a range of learning and educational opportunities for students. The district serves more than 7,800 students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12, as well as governs over 15 school schools, including G.W. Carver Elementary School, South Edgecombe Middle School and North Edgecombe High School. Its schools offer instruction in music, reading, writing, science, social studies and mathematics. The district s schools support the National Honor Society. Its schools administer the English as a Second Language program. The district s schools also have libraries that offer a variety of educational resources and materials. Its schools provide opportunities for students to participate in a range of sports activities, such as basketball, golf, cross-country, football, volleyball, cheerleading, and track and field.
