Well Bobby no matter what you say, you still did not do repairs that you said you did, and that's the important issue here, no more no less.. I must have hit a nerve because your attack isn't warranted, I reviewed your place of business and you got personal, seems you are the angry man because deflecting and protesting as much as you did is very telling, and if you remember I did confront you and with a straight face you swore that timing belt was replaced when in fact it was not, and by the way, what did you do with the new timing belt kit that I gave you to install? So, my old friend Bob, i stand behind my recommendation to others to steer clear of your shop, nothing personal, just business..

It's odd that reviews are all answered the same general way by bob, repairs that were said to be completed were in fact not...Steer clear of Cliffside Auto..

Tried Cliffside Auto for the first time approx. 1 year ago. Been there a few times for inspections , oil changes . Most recently my car broke down on route 80 and was towed to Cliffside. Turns out I was just out of gas and Bob was up front and honest and only charged me 20.00 for gas. Where you going to find that these days .

I thought Cliffside Auto was the best place I have ever been to, I was wrong. Most of the work that was done by an employee that is no longer there, had to be redone by a different mech, when I found out by accident, that work performed much later on my vehicle, was never done. When confronted, there was no admission of guilt or that a simple mistake might have been made and no attempt to make it right. I truly didn't think that I would have to worry about Cliffside Auto due to the fact I considered Bob a friend, so my radar was down..I would never go back to Cliffside Auto...

This repair shop is the best in Monroe County. I have been going to Cliffside Auto since Bob purchased it from Vohn Ahns in 2008. Always honest and upfront on repairs.

Overpriced. Gave me a high quote for work and I walked. Few days later he came down 500 dollars on the same job...because I balked. I believe they "set up" work for themselves on easy issues on cars they service for the future. Brakes, starters, coolant hoses all mysteriously developed trouble... I had checked brakes.... they were fine when I went in. FAMOUS for not fully torquing bolts on repairs. Parts tend to work loose, etc. Girlfriend had a car inspected there and he did a front brake job with no notice to her. Front brake job had just been done the year before...metallic pads had been new and thick months before he replaced them for 200 dollars. Years ago I had an engine in a VW blow up because the timing bolt was not torqued properly...thats what the mechanic in Virginia told me. Guess who had just tuned it the week before? The bolt slipped from vibration while driving and poof. No engine. That was 5000 dollars.
