Joshua set up my new IMac. Transition from my old computer went very smoothly. During the process, he answered all my questions clearly and completely (and has continued to do so ever since) and gave me new ideas on how to get more out of my computer. I've been looking for a new computer person, and Joshua is the one. I recommend him in the strongest terms.

Joshua with Mac Doctor was a great help. He helped me do several things. First he ported over information from my old g4 powerbook to my new Mac. He even went through to bring over old e-mails that I wanted to save. What a help!!! Then after that he spent some time with me setting up a better wireless network complete with Apple TV. Now when my parents come over we can show pictures on the TV seamlessly and easily of the grand kids and all the great things they have done. If this wasn't enough, his service is outstanding. He returns calls quickly and is very friendly. I highly recommend Mac Doctor.
After several long-winded attempts to get my AirPort Express and a set of wired speakers working happily with my AirPort Extreme - including a 2-hour call with Apple Support, who couldn't help me to get the Express to work either - Joshua came in and had the whole thing up and running in under 10 minutes. Voila - wireless stereo in multiple rooms of our apartment! To boot, while he was on my laptap working his magic, Joshua diagnosed several other issues that had been causing me problems and that I hadn't had time to think about. I'm a graphic designer who uses my Mac HARD, every day, so I don't trust just anyone with this baby. With his recommendations for some basic - and unbelievably affordable - software and hardware updates, and in a miraculously short amount of time, Josh had me and my design business on the road to a very efficient 2011!

I had an old non-Intel based Mac and it was time to upgrade. Josh (I found him on an internet search) was helpful from the beginning, advising me as to the relative merits of the computers I would be choosing between, advice on peripherals, making the change-over of data from old computer to new, helping me with new software, even readying my old computer for it's new home. It is such a great feeling knowing someone like Josh is on your side and ready to help - efficiently, professionally and completely competently. Highest recommendation!

Knowing next to nothing about computers, we often feel as if repair people and salesmen can do what they want with us. However, we had absolute confidence in Joshua after the shortest time. His explanations are beautiful and direct, he works extremely efficiently, while at the same time answering questions, and our new set-up (Macbookpro with Samsung monitor was his recipe for our particular situation) was up and running in the shortest possible time. The few questions we had afterwards were immediately answered. He is very accessible. Highest recommendation!
I had an urgent need to get my MacBook screen replaced and Joshua gave me the best price. But I also discovered a consummate professional, and extremely helpful Mac expert who worked extra hard to get me setup in a short time. I have worked with many computer professionals and recommend Joshua with the highest confidence. I intend to seek his help again for my future Mac needs.
Joshua is fast, honest, and a solid diagnostician. He's a bargain even if he took twice as long as he did (which was not long at all). He's not afraid to give bad news, and explains issues in an intelligent manner. He's knows his Macs.

I converted to a Mac a couple months ago and had some questions about how to make this all happen. The Mac Doctor made my transition seamless. His patience is indeed incredible as I had a lot of questions and am not very "tech-savvy" you might say. He did explain everything to me in easy to understand language and I feel that I can operate my Mac much better now. In fact, I have a few other friends who have had some more complicated issues resolved by the Mac Doctor and they, too, were very satisfied. If you're looking for help, whether it's small or large, I recommend the Mac Doctor.

Originally a PC girl, I used Mac Doctor to help me set up my new Mac and have been a return customer ever since. Joshua of Mac Dctor is not only exceedingly good at what he dies, he is also patient, fun and easy to work with. I have used Mac Doctor for a hard-drive repair, program installation and problem solving and definitely will continue to rely on Joshua for Mac support.
I was very impressed with MacDoctor's service, very professional. I used their service to help transfer my files and settings from my old iMac to a new Mac Book. He explained the process and made sure that I got all the files I needed. I'll definitely use MacDoctor for any problems I have in the future!

A semi-literate member of the Mac cult, when I need tech help I need someone who: (1) knows what he's talking about; (2) knows when he doesn't know and admits it; (3) doesn't make me feel like an idiot for needing help; (4) explains clearly not only what to do but how and why, step by step; (5) is never to busy to respond promptly; (6) saves me bundles when I need advice on purchases; and (7) welcomes feedback and follow-up questions. Mac Doctor is five bright stars on all criteria.

My grandkids have told me about photo albums that I can make using my Macintosh. A friend recommended Joshua, the Mac Doctor, to help me learn to make an album. On the phone Joshua was friendly, enthusiastic, and brimming with information! Over the course of four hours, he helped me make a fantastic photo album using iPhoto. I surprised my granddaughter with the album for her birthday--she couldn't believe I had learned without her help!While he was here, Joshua also taught me to scan photos so I can add them to my digital collection on my computer. We created new folders by year and then organized subfolders by event or person. Now I have all my photos in one place.I would recommend Joshua to anyone who needs help with a Mac--especially folks like me, who came to computers later in life. He is courteous, patient, reasonably priced, and professional.
The Mac Doctor has been of invaluable assistance over the past couple months in helping me to fully take advantage of my macintosh. Joshua was recommended by a trusted friend for his effectiveness at problem solving, his professionalism, his low hourly rate, and his efficiency while on the job. I first contacted him because I wanted to be able to control several remote speaker systems over my wireless network in a few different rooms in my condo. Joshua (the Mac Doctor) suggested using an airport extreme base station with several remote airport express routers connected to speakers in each room. I now have remote printing, a remote hard-drive that backs up my laptop through time machine, and speaker systems in each room that can be controlled remotely. Since then, Joshua has helped me solve several other mac-related issues. Based on my experience these past months, If you're having any trouble with your mac or want to expand its capabilities, I strongly recommend the Mac Doctor.
Last month I purchased a new Apple and was not able to get it working doing all the things I needed. I found Mac Doctor online and read many solid google reviews. I recently moved from Cambridge to Seattle and am outfitting a new office, laboratory (I am a university professor), and home entertainment center. Although I am a scientist I do not have the tech knowledge or patience to research the products I need and feel overwhelmed when I think about how much time I could waste. Even though I?m in Seattle, he remotely logs right into my computer and tends to all my support needs, avoiding the hassle for me to find a new techie here.
Stumbled across Mac Doctor on Craigslist and thought I'd give it a shot. I'm a recent convert from the PC world and needed some lessons and introduction to Mac. Joshua turned out to be exactly what I needed.First, he came to my house which was very convenient. He set up a airport wireless network in no time and then he transferred all my files from my PC laptop to my new MacBook. Bookmarks, email, and contacts were all transferred without a hitch. Then it was on to introducing me to the nuances of a Mac.I was most impressed with how patient Joshua was with me. He's really a good teacher and very knowledgeable.
