i should have known BBB when i got a bill last year for the Extra Space Storage unit which I already vacated. They went all the way to a collection agency. After few months of contacts, they finally stopped it. This year after different problems occurred with them, few months passed, and found myself nowhere to go, I found BBB. After I contacted BBB, I just waited without worry and am able to concentrate on my life. They've spent many weeks, days and hours to contact them, and at the end they brought me the result I wanted. Thank you! Though I'll try to solve most of such problems myself, I feel better to have BBB for my emergency back up.

I was having a problem with FreeTaxUSA/Taxhawk located in Provo UT. - I decided I wanted them to delete my account, and erase my info - they kept saying they didn't have this ability (which of course is HOGWASH!) - They kept telling me to 'create dummy info' and to 'do it myself' (this is not safe either - original info can still be retrieved) - I contacted BBB, described the situation, they contacted these folks, and gee! WHAT A SURPRISE! The people on the receiving end, DELETED MY ACCOUNT AND ALL MY INFO after receiving BBB's letter!!! - Thank you BBB!!! - YOU GUYS ROCK!!!! - What I still find 'mystifying' is why this company just didn't do this in the beginning (would have saved a lot of hassle) - Just goes to show, the kind of CLOUT the BBB has!!!! They are respected, and in some cases 'feared' by business owners - no one wants a 'negative rating' from the BBB!!!......Thank again!!!!

Thank you to the better business bureau for exposing scams like pure garcinia cambogia that steal money from you ,without your approval and when you realise that they stole money from your account by getting your monthly statement When you ask them to refund you, they say that they are an online business and don't have to follow state laws., You will never see your money again .Hopefully the law will look into this business soon .If I would have read the F review the bbb gave them FIRST,I would have never trusted them with my credit card number ,Thank you for exposing this scam and taking the time to attempt helping me get a refund . natc
I had a bad experience with a well know genealogy internet company. After phone tags and no help from them to get my money back, I went to the BBB and within two weeks of filling my complaint I received my money back from the this internet company. Thank you to the BBB for your help.

When I purchased a watch the salesperson said it was Swiss Made. Cool. Got home and examined it to find it was not Swiss Made. Went back to ask for refund. Salesman said no because the band had been sized. Well.....before I paid for it he made a big deal about sizing it for free if I bought it, and did size it before I even got the receipt with the refund rules....slick. wrote to BBB and the company offered a refund. Second time I have asked BBB for help in 12 years. Both times they were effective.
After making a formal complaint about a company, the company offered me $200 refund to "make good" on our differences. The BBB was quick and very thorough in their handling of my complaint. I started the complaint and it was handled and case closed within 2 weeks. I will use them for any future issues without a doubt! Businesses take the complaints filed against them serious because it can hurt their business in the future. Consumers should check with the BBB prior to starting a relationship with a company to see if any complaints were ever filed. I wish I would have checked first because there were 35 complaints on file with the company I complained about. Had I checked first, it might have weighed on my decision to sign a contract with the company.

This past July I purchased a used car from a local dealer in Logan. As the contract was prepared and final documents finalized there was some cunfusion and system glitches which caused the contract to be recreated. In addition I misunderstood terms surrounding a service contract. I purchased the car on Saturday afternoon and upon review of the contract at home I noticed what I felt was a discrepancy. I returned to the dealer at 9:00 AM on Monday to try to correct the discrepancy which amounted to $1200 in additional charges. The dealer told me they had no options and it was too late to correct the issue. I contacted the BBB and promptly received confirmation of my claim. After the BBB contacted the dealership, the dealer promptly offered a full refund of the fees in question. Very Very Happy with support and the end results.

Utah BBB helped me resolve a year long issue with a company. Once I got them involved everything was resolved within 2 weeks.

I can't thank the BBB of Utah enough for helping me with Dish One. I also enlisted the help of the Federal Trade Commission,Illinois Attorney General,and my local Fox TV consumer affairs reporter in the St Louis Mo. market. With the help of these agencies, I was able terminate my contract of less than one week without any penalties. The BBB was the first to get results and I thank them for that. I highly recommend BBB for any consumer problems you my have.

I had purchased an elliptical and the warranty with the product. 2 weeks after getting it, It was not working properly. For the next 4months I went back and forth with the retailer. They continued to send a vendor to "fix" the problem. (every 2 weeks a vendor would be back) - They would not let me return the machine (even with receipt and being told that is what the warranty was for). I turned to the BBB to assist - they were amazing! The situation was resolved. I would highly recommend them to anyone having an issue with a retailer or service provider.

We bought a house in winter and soon the furnace shot and we replaced the furnace. Meanwhile we the found out the advertised AC was not working and beyond repairing. We replace the A/C as well and were ready for the long battle with the seller. The private negotiation failed and the seller refused to pay. I made a complaint on BBB and that caught the sellers attention. They offered to meet and we settled the issue.
I had a problem with a company that sold home alarm systems. The salesman I was dealing with stopped answering my emails or phone calls. I didn't know where else to turn when I thought of the Better Business Bureau. After reading some other reviews, I decided to file a complaint. Not only did it get the attention of the company, but my issue was resolved in a little more than 30 days. I now have the peace of mind that if I ever have another issue such as this, I will take it to the BBB without hesitation.
I am glad that I turned to BBB, it is a great organization and helps you mediate with the problems you have with another company. I am really thankful for their intervention in my case, and that thanks to them I could solve my problem. I would definitely use it again if in the future I encounter some other problem. They are very dedicated and help you comunicate with the other company. Thank you so much for being a mediator in my case.

The BBB was essential to helping me resolve my dispute with a business provider. I created a BBB complaint and within only a few weeks, the vendor had replied to my complaint and also provided the services I had been promised in full. Without the BBB, I'd still be waiting and hoping to receive the services I had paid for. Thank you BBB.
I ordered Levela online--it was supposed to be a free trial. They ask you to try it for 6 weeks, but in small print at the bottom, which I did not see, they tell you that you must cancel within 10 days or they will charge your credit card $200 for the product. I also though I put this on a different credit card. When I realized what was happening, I contacted Levela to cancel, sent all the product I had back to them, and contacted my credit card company. Levela contacted me and tried to convince me to drop the dispute, saying I would get nothing unless I did. I knew that was a bluff. However, I only got a partial refund with my credit card dispute. So I decided to file a complaint with the BBB. That got me the rest of my money. Thank you BBB!!!!!
I had a bad experience with Icon Fitness. They wanted to charge me for a second service call for a technician to fix workout equipment. Icon had sent me the wrong part the first time around, so on the first technician visit he was unable to fix the problem. He told me what parts to order and then when I received them he would come back. I called Icon to order the correct parts and they sent them plus charged me for a 2nd tech visit. I complained that they had never told me there would be a second charge for a technician visit and that I should not have to pay it. They refused to budge. I contacted BBB , who informed Icon of my complaint and Icon had the 2nd tech fee charge waived. From G.H. In Saint Louis, Mo.
I contacted the BBB after I was having difficulty getting a refund from a company that guaranteed one. The process was very easy to do and they kept me informed of the process through emails. Within 2 weeks I was finally issued a refund from the company. If it hadn't been for the BBB I don't think this company would have ever come through with their guaranteed refund. I was very pleased with their help and would definitely contact them again for help if I ever encounter another problem that I can't get resolved on my own.
