Coosa Middle School serves students in grades six through eight. It offers academic programs in English, mathematics, science and technology education. The school additionally conducts social studies and health and physical education classes. Coosa Middle School also offers English for Speakers of Other Languages and special education programs, as well as gifted and talented education. It has an athletics department that offers a variety of sports activities, such as football, cross country, track and field, basketball, tennis and cheerleading. The school supports a student government association and beta, chess and yearbook clubs. Coosa Middle School s media center offers an accelerated reader program that encourages students to read more books. It is located in Rome, Ga., and is a part of Floyd County Schools.
