Coosa High School, located in Rome, Ga., operates under the Floyd County Public Schools district. It offers classes from grades nine through 12 and enrolls more than 650 students every year. Coosa High School provides classes in various subjects, including health and physical education, family and consumer sciences, special education, business studies, mathematics, English, science, and social studies. The school also offers various services and facilities, such as a fully stocked library, guidance and counseling service, athletics, food and transportation services, and teaching and learning resources. It conducts a variety of sporting events, including football, soccer, cross-country, basketball, wrestling and softball. Floyd County Public Schools also operates other schools, including Pepperell High School, Cave Spring Elementary School, Armuchee Elementary School and Johnson Elementary School.
