Finally went to the Pit after seeing the owner on the today show last year. The food, service and atmosphere was excellent. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich which was delicious with exception of the bun. It was a small hamburger bun that I usually buy at the grocery store for home. Should definitely think about changing the bun.

I've been there twice and I was quite imprssed with the food. The ribs are exceptional. You must try the baked beans and cheesy bacon grits. Delicious!! The service is great and we received our food quickly. It's my favorite restaurant.

The atmosphere and service are way above expectations for a barbecue place. However, the food is absolutely exceptional. From his almost famous ribs to the pulled pork to the spectacular meatloaf, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The place is a little hard to find, but it is definitely worth remembering once you try it. I try not to recommend places based on conversations with a host, but rather the service and food quality. The service the past 8 times I have been there would be an 8.5 and the food a clear and easy 10 on a 1 to 10 scale. Mapquest or google the directions since the food and service are so good.

Her instructions weren't very clear, but I ended the call as I felt that if I drove Davie St long enough, eventually I would find it. Well, I didn't. I called back and got the same rude hostess. When I told her exactly where I was on Davis St., she didn't seem to know how to instruct me from that point. I asked her to give me a landmark to help me locate the restaurant and she snapped "we're where we've always been." When I told her that if I knew where you've always been, I wouldn't be asking for directions, she repeated "well, we are where we've always been, I don't know what else to tell you." Needless to say, I was completely taken aback by this response. I thought, is this the type of service the recipients of my gift card should expect to receive? Normally, I would have taken my business elsewhere, but si
