I've had consistently good service here. The bartenders are friendly, quick, and know their beers. I tend to avoid it on Steeler home games because that is a crowd all to itself (but I know several folks who wouldn't miss the football home games for Steelers or Ducks there). Friday lunch specials rock. In February, the bar offered two live bands with no cover charge and everyone was up dancing to Usual Suspects and 21June. For food, the fries are better than anyplace in town, and the burgers melt in your mouth. If anything, A & L hasn't caught up with local pricing around - they still have cheap beer, a lot of food for your money, and options that even your vegetarian will embrace.
