Dr. Koppel is a board certified pain management specialist with 20+ years of experience in the management of various types of acute and chronic conditions. Each patient receives a comprehensive evaluation and treatment plan. Most spinal conditions can be treated with these modern and state of the art techniques. Regenerative medicine is a rapidly growing field which utilizes the bodies own regenerative capacity to help heal injured tissue, and reverse degeneration. This involves utilizing various cells, and growth factors to enable the body to produce healthy tissue to replace or regenerate injured tissue. These include Stem Cells and Platelet Rich Plasma, among others. I have seen in my years of practice that most patients with neck or back pain do not receive the right treatment. If the condition does not respond to conservative treatment such as physical therapy within two to three months, then it is unlikely to result in a long term benefit. However my treatments combined with a therapy program can result in a more permanent solution, and avoid the need for surgery. My goal is to utilize minimally interventional techniques to diagnose the cause of the pain, and then treat it. I have treated patients who might have otherwise undergone surgery with its much greater risks and complications. Board Certified Pain Management Specialist. Treatments are relatively quick, and patients are kept comfortable throughout. Most patients can resume their normal activities the following day.
