Established in 1874, the Union Mutual of Vermont Companies is a mutual company, providing quality insurance products. Located in Montpelier, Vt., it is comprised of three insurance companies and one special purpose finance company. The company is licensed to sell its insurance products in the states of Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New York. Union Mutual of Vermont Companies is affiliated with Eastern Mutual Insurance Company. New England Guaranty Insurance Company Inc. (NEG) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company.
