Little Rock School District governs nearly 50 school that consists of high, middle and elementary schools, early childhood, accelerated learning, technical and adult education centers, and alternative schools. The district, located in Little Rock, Ark., enrolls more than 25,000 students every year. Apart from the basic curriculum of studies, the district offers various developmental and professional courses for its students. It also offers child find activities, evaluation services and a full continuum of programs and related services for students with disabilities. Its division of special programs provides all students with unique educational challenges to help them attain their maximum academic, social and emotional growth. Little Rock School District has various departments, including elementary education, information services and athletic departments, science materials center, maintenance and operations division and the Parent Involvement office.
