I brought my cat in because of urinary and ataxia symptoms he was having. Unbeknownst to me, they gave my cat steroids DESPITE knowing that he had a heart murmur. After they kept him overnight, they discharged him to me, and when I brought him home and let him out of his cage, he was in respiratory distress. I immediately brought him back to the hospital and an x-ray showed that he was in acute heart failure. They even admitted that it was because of the steroids. He then had to stay at their facility for a week and they charged me $2,000. The office manager refused to admit that the hospital stay was due to their negligence. I am now suing them for not allowing me informed consent to treat him with steroids that had a risk of putting him into heart failure due to his underlying hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and the fact that they discharged him to me while he was in acute heart failure. There are MUCH better hospitals in the area that you can go to.

Awful, awful, awful! We took our puppy in after he had seizures not knowing what was wrong with him. Within the first 15 minutes they gave us a low estimate for 2,200 for 3 days. After they ran several tests, all of which came back inconclusive, they gave him several different drugs and other procedures. They called us about 3 hours later basically saying they still didn't know what was wrong with our pup and continuously using medical terms and other explanations that we didn't understand. Then finally telling us the overnight doctor would keep us posted on any changes. Later that night we got a call saying they couldnt stop the seizing and they didn't think they could do anymore for him. So we made the hard decision of putting him to sleep and getting him cremated so we could have something to remember him by. This week we got the call to come pick up the ashes and when we did they told us the bill. 2,200 dollars!! For a little over 13 hrs! I don't understand how they can do that many tests and procedures in that little time and still couldnt figure out what was wrong or how to fix him. We are heartbroken and when we asked to speak to a manager she conveniently wasn't there. We now have to wait until she contacts us and cannot get our pups ashes until we pay our bill. Please if you read this never take your dog here. I am a huge animal lover and would never want anyone to go through the same heartache that we've experienced.

Found them to be very caring after a 2:00 am dog emergency.
I used their services on 3 occasions and was completely satisfied each time. I see that some reviewers don't like all the testing they do. Without all the testing, my dog would have died. My dog's life was saved by doctors at Gwynedd vet with their THOROUGH testing and expert diagnosis. The final time I used their services, they guided me through deciding to have my 17 year old dog put to sleep. They were kind, compassionate and professional. They may be expensive, but all emergency care is expensive and you truly do get what you pay for. My pets are my family and I trust the doctors at Gwynedd Vet with their lives.

Definitely not the least expensive. But some great and knowledge doctors. And for my two dogs and cats I like knowing something 24 hour is close by.
Very very expensive. Lots of testing, not very clear on test results. I am looking for an alternative emergency vet. Some of the great Drs that used to work there are no longer there.

My 2 1/2 year old dog collapsed suddenly. I rushed him to Gwynedd where they performed CPR on him for 10 minutes. Sadly, it was too late and he was already gone. Upon leaving their office, I received at bill for $350! As if my dog suddenly passing wasn't hard enough but I was astonished at the price to performed CPR for 10 minutes. I mean $35 a minute come on. Nothing like taking advantage of someone in a time a sorrow.
You can count on them in an emergency and for your every day pet care.
