Established in 1874, the Kansas City Missouri Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency that provides services through a process of identification, analysis and assessment. Located in Kansas City, Mo., the department s field services division includes several watch commanders, sergeants and officers who perform patrol activities. The Kansas City Missouri Police Department also executes initial investigations of criminal- and traffic-related complaints. Its staff also includes K-9, field training, special response team, traffic homicide, bike patrol, community-oriented policing, victim advocate and agricultural crime units. The police department offers various services, including traffic incident management, crime mapping and control of sexual offenses.
