Top class service! I purchased 6 antique lights from PA and needed them delivered to Texas. Pak Mail picked them up from the seller, packed them expertly, organized insurance. A local delivery service contacted me 24 hours in advance of arrival in Dallas, we agreed on a delivery window ( 2 hour window ), a professional driver delivered to my door as agreed. Communication was excellent.

I buy a lot of auction lots and have shippers from all over the country pick them up for me. You sometimes don't know how good they will be other than that the auction house recommends them. One of the main auction aggregator sites recently started offering their own shipping services where you pay them directly and then they arrange to have the items shipped to you. Sometimes they contract for the same people you would, so they just take a middleperson fee and don't do much else. Feels like a monopolistic move to me on some level.

On a recent item at a Pittsburgh auction house, I had the option of choosing this shipping service or arranging my own. I have found that arranging your own can be quicker and better, even if the price savings are not great. Pak Mail was the most responsive and agreed to prioritize my pick up for me. They made sure that their whole team was ready to help get it done. The price was slightly higher, but the package came properly packed (not overly so) and arrived at lightning speed. It was worth the *slightly* higher price that I paid over the auction aggregator's auto-quote, and I know that the shipper will get to keep their fair share.

I purchased some very old books off an auction and the auction company used Pak Mail Pittsburgh Crate & Ship to ship by books to me. Pak Mail far exceeded my expectations in the way that they wrapped all the books and packed them in order to keep them from being damaged in the shipping process.
