Established in 1964, Kennedy Elementary School is a public coeducational learning center. The school spreads over an area of more than 9 acres and features a multipurpose room, library, cafeteria, playground and classrooms. It has an enrollment of more than 500 students in kindergarten through grade five. Its educational programs include instruction in reading, math, science, language arts and social studies. Kennedy Elementary School s curriculum also includes art, music and physical education. The school additionally provides the English Language Learners program. It has partnership with the La Quinta Arts Foundation. Its parent-teacher organization participates in various community service projects and events. Kennedy Elementary School is located in Indio, Calif., and operates under the Desert Sands Unified School District.
