Indio High School, established in 1958, offers education to students in grades nine through 12. Its academic curriculum includes English, language arts, science, mathematics and social science. The school also provides a variety of extracurricular programs that include choir, drama, hiking and poetry. Additionally, it offers a range of sports activities that include baseball, cross country, golf, softball, tennis, volleyball, basketball, football, soccer, swimming, water polo, and track and field. Indio High School is a part of the Desert Sands Unified School District, which provides special education, college preparation and vocational programs. The school has an enrollment of more than 2,500 students and is located in Indio, Calif.
