Amistad High School, a part of the Desert Sands Unified School District, is a continuation high school that has been providing educational services since the 1960s. The high school enrolls more than 450 students and has a staff of over 30. Its curriculum includes art, English, math, science, reading, social science, and physical and special education. The high school also offers classes in computer studies and auto technology. Amistad High School has received accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. It publishes a school newspaper, known as Eagle, as well as a magazine on literary arts. Amistad High School is located in Indio, Calif.
