Dr. John W. Clemenza is an Oral, Maxillofacial and Cosmetic Surgeon serving the Hermitage area for more than 15 years. Dr. Clemenza is experienced in Scar Revision, Facial Liposuction aDr. John Clemenza, born in 1966 in Scarsdale New York, is a son of a schoolteacher and small business owner. He attended IONA Preparatory High School located in Scarsdale, N.Y. where he was involved in sports including, football and tennis. He is the youngest of three children. Both of his older sisters practiced general dentistry in New York and Connecticut. In 1984, Dr. Clemenza moved to Pennsylvania to attend Washington and Jefferson College in Washington, PA. He received his Bachelor's degree in Biology, was a member of Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity, and played one year of college football. It was there he met his wife and they now have three children. After completing college one year early in 1987, Dr. Clemenza attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine until 1991 where he received his D.M.D. degree and Drexel Medical School where he received his M.D degree. He was accepted to a six-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Program at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. This intensive program consisted of medical school, two years of general surgery training and Oral Maxillofacial Surgery training. In 1997, Dr. Clemenza was accepted as a Fellow in Head and Neck Oncology and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, Maryland and at Walton Hospital in Liverpool, England. Dr. Clemenza and his family had the opportunity to live abroad while training in England and experienced not only a different lifestyle but also another type of health care system and Lip Augmentation. He is a professional member of the Pennsylvania Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgeons and the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

I have a great deal of respect and admiration for Dr. Clemenza and his entire staff.
No one wants to have a wisdom tooth removed especially as an adult, but Dr. Clemenza is extremely caring and was very patient and gentle with me. I am a nervous person when it comes to the dentist let alone having a tooth pulled. He even calls to check on you afterwards to make sure you are doing okay. I can't imagine ever going to anyone else for oral surgery! The staff was very kind and you can tell they actually care about your well being. Very happy with my experience.
Ongoing facial services for a number of years with Dr. Clemenza and he is extremely very caring, concerned, and truly patient focused!
This is the second time coming into the office and both times were great. First time was to have all four of my wisdom teeth out and this time was my back top teeth, couldnt be happier!
I've seen Dr. Clemenza once. In that visit, I was given two distinct impressions - He's very good at what he does. He's not terribly interested in small talk nor a very personalized experience.
I informed his assistant and he of some concerns I had and a request to be informed. Neither seemed to be taken into consideration.
Having said that, I'd go back simply because he's great at what he does. :)
I just recently had corrective jaw surgery done by Dr. Clemenza, and I couldn't be happier with the results. He made sure to explain everything very well and made sure I understood the procedure and the risks. He made sure to check up on me in the hospital the day after surgery as well. The healing process is going a lot faster than I expected as well, which is great. Dr. Clemenza is an amazing doctor and I would recommend him without any hesitation.
Dr. Clemenza and staff are extremely professional and caring individuals. Nobody enjoys visiting an oral surgeon, however, they do their very best to ensure comfort without compromising quality care. I am fortunate to have them--they have helped so much.

We were dreading this process for my 94 year old father, but Dr Clemenza calmly and clearly explained things so that our fears were put to rest. When we had some issues in the evening, Dr called us right back after being contacted by his answering service.
He also was patient and careful to ask my dad what HE wanted to do whenever there was a choice to be made.

i was dreading getting my tooth pulled as i had already had one pulled and knew what it would be like. i know every one tries to make it as non traumatic as possible but it still is not something to look forward to.
From the inception of the original diagnosis, I had full confidence that my daughter was in the best hands, bother professionally and personally. The time waiting was less than five minutes. Every aspect of the procedure was explained in full detail and the experience was the best it could be. Thank you Dr. Clemenza and staff for being the best of the best. We appreciate your hard work and dedication.
