The Greene County Special Education Department serves students with disabilities. The department provides a range of psychology, counseling and nursing services. It is a part of the Greene County School System, which governs high, middle and elementary educational institutions. The Greene County School System maintains technology, finance, human resources, and curriculum and instruction departments. The system operates Greene County High School, Anita Carson White Middle School, Greensboro Elementary School and Union Point Elementary School. It schools offer a variety of athletic activities, such as football, wresting and basketball. The Greene County School System also maintains a maintenance and operations department. Its schools provide food and transportation services.
