Old National Trail Special Education Cooperative, located in Greencastle, Ind., offers services for people who suffer from orthopedic impairments, visual and hearing impairments, brain injuries, and mental, learning and emotional disabilities. It has an autism research team, a multidisciplinary support team that is available to provide resources and support in meeting the needs of students with autism. It also operates a developmental preschool that offers speech, occupational and physical therapy services. In addition, Old National Trail Special Education Cooperative offers professional training programs for school personnel. Its alternative transition program assists students in making contacts regarding employment. The cooperative publishes a monthly newsletter that includes information on special education and the programs provided by Old National Trail Special Education Cooperative.
