General Info
The Academy of Martial Arts in Grafton was founded in 1984 and has been at the same location since its doors opened. Since it has opened it has served, literally, generations within families in our area, producing many competent Black Belts, and educating many adults and children in the \"I.T.F. Style\" of TaeKwon-Do, a Korean martial art. We are not \"all things to all people\"; thus while many faculty members have competence in other martial arts such as boxing, wrestling, judo, and tai chi, we do not hold ourselves out as teaching many different styles of martial arts. We teach one martial art and believe concentration in one primary art is necessary to achieve competence in that art. All our instructors are Black Belts, and all permanent faculty hold more than one degree of Black Belt certified by the United States TaeKwon-Do Federation and many by the International TaeKwon-Do Federation. The Headmaster of the Grafton School has been certified by Gen. Choi, Hong Hi, Founde r of the International TaeKwon-Do Federation, as an International Instructor. Our faculty boasts a cumulative experience of over a hundred years. Many schools operate on a \"contract\" basis. You sign up for a short-term \"introductory\" program, and after 30 days (or whatever) out comes the hammer for a year, two-year, or three-year contract. WE HAVE NO CONTRACTS. If we don't keep up your interest and you cannot perceive the worth of our program and choose to drop out, your financial obligation ends.

I just started taking classes at 35. The instructors take their time with you all the way. There are egos. It is a great place for you or your child to learn.
