The Special Education Department of Farmington Public Schools serves students with mental, developmental, physical and emotional disabilities. The department provides occupational, physical and speech therapies for children and youths up to the age of 25 with mental disabilities. Its trainable mentally impaired program offers prevocational and vocational assessment and training programs. The Special Education Department provides adaptive instruction to students with learning disabilities in homes and schools by special education teachers. It offers intensive therapies and medical monitoring services for students with multiple disabilities. The Special Education Department s parent district operates various early childhood centers, as well as elementary, middle and high schools and serves students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12.
