The Clermont Police Department is a law enforcement agency issues auto releases, accident reports, alarm permits, and firearm permits and releases. It maintains a criminal investigation division that undertakes cases related to burglary, homicide, theft and robbery. The Clermont Police Department s patrol section conducts regular patrols and responds to calls for service. The department also provides traffic management and first aid services. It has the Special Weapons And Tactics (SWAT) team, which specializes in hostage and barricaded gunman situations and bomb disposal.
