When you have nowhere to turn to . . . when a business transaction goes bad. Contact the BBB ! I have used the BBB several times and they resolved my situation very quickly. I have had quality customer service with the BBB on every occasion.
I purchase a pair of expense shoes and asked the store about their return policy and was told that the shoes can be return within seven days as long as they haven't been worn. I went back the next day to return the shoes and was told I could only do an even exchange. I did show them a picture of the shoes that I wanted but was told it would take 4 weeks, because they had to be specially order. I wanted the shoes that I was returning to be taken off my charge card and the order shoes had to be paid for in full. I went along with this and decided I wasn't satisfy with their store policy. And that's when I decided to contact the BBB. They contacted the company which had ten day to respond to the complaint (which they did on the tenth day.) The company sent me a check for the amount of the shoes. This is my fourth time contacting BBB and I have had favorable results. I don't know what I would do if their was no BBB.
within a week of contacting the bbb, i received a letter from the company i compained about. the letter said they were refunding the entire amount back to me ($80.00 roughtly. they had told me on the phone prior to bbb involvement that they would not issue me any refund at all. talk about a quick turn-around. bbb website is very easy to use-not hard at all to file a grievance or complaint. thanks again bbb.
We had purchashed a Whirlpool refrigerator from Sears with a service contract in 2012. In mid December 2014 it stopped making ice. We called for srevice and a tech came and reset some controls and told us to give in a couple of hours to make ice. It didn't. After many phone calls and excuses and phone calls not returnedand conflicting stories from Sears executives, frustration forced me to seek outside help from the BBB, Within two days of registering my complainy a Sears manager in the corporate office e-mailed me directly to appologize and authorized a replacement. I am sorry it had to come to this but the results speak for themselves. Without the BBB, I don't know how long this might have taken and how much more frustration I would have to endure.They got results where I was lied to and ignored. If in the future I have any issue with a business like this, I will not hesitate to use the BBB to help.

BBB came through in helping me resolve two frustrating situations. They were swift, fair, and really fought for the consumer. If you have any issues, don't hesitate to reach out to them. They've made it easy to go online or via the telephone.
After a third failed delivery over a period of three months of a refrigerator freezer combo, I was frustrated and mad at the runaround Sears was giving me. All I got from Sears was apologies and finger pointing as to who and how to resolve the problem. I contacted the BBB and within 24 hours Sears called me and put their "Blue Team" on the case. The product was delivered successfully within 10 days. I am glad that there is this organization that holds companies responsible for their product.

The seller I had issues with was unwilling to solve my problem for more than 4 months since I first contacted them for a refund. They were re-sending my case to different managers, asked for more and more proving documents and did nothing - well, in short, were just pretty much wasting my time. However, after I filed a complaint through BBB the whole thing was solved within 10 days. BBB works their magic I guess. Thanks a lot for your help.

The Better Business Bureau has helped my wife & I on numerous occasions to resolve issues. In every case that involved a BBB accredited company the issues were resolved quickly & fairly. We highly recommend the Better Business Bureau & businesses that are accredited by the Better Business Bureau.

After several attempts to resolve my dissatisfaction with a major floral compny on an arrangement I purchases for a deceased family member, I contacted BBB. Minutes after BBB contacted the company, I received an e mail from the company, stating my account was credited to my satisfaction. BBB was able to resolve this issue with just one e mail to the floral company . Do yourself a favor, don't get yourself streesed out with dealing with merchants who have no compassion for the consumer, contact BBB

In the past year I have had two issues with two different companies. Both times I have been unable to resolve the issue directly with the company, even after many weeks of patient effort. However, for each issue I contacted the BBB as a last effort and each time I was surprised how quickly the companies responded to solve the problem. I feel this is a very fair way to handle disputes and does not involve the legal process with attorneys or small claims, etc. BBB ratings are very important to businesses and I believe this is the very best way to handle honest disputes. By the way, my two disputes were these --as an FYI to you: One dispute was a lost delivery of an appliance, and the business just kept going around and around with me for better than 2 months--and still no appliance. Once I contacted the BBB, I got a call from the bus. by a VP within 2 days to resolve it. Businesses wouldn't be accountable without the bbb
Better Business is the best and most effective organization that helps me resolve my disputes quickly and efficiently. It often takes forever to reach anybody in some companies, leave alone get a resolution, but, somehow, they usually quickly respond to the BBB complaints. Thank you very much BBB.

If you are having difficulty with any business for any issue I highly recommend the BBB. I was so frustrated with Sears, I wanted to be put through to the appropriate person for a complaint about my Samsung refrigerator. In the first year of purchasing it, it froze up three times. In the next year it froze up again. I simply wanted a replacement fridge but no one would listen to me until the BBB got involved. I can't tell you how much I appreciated their help. Within 3 weeks Sears agreed to replace the fridge and cover the delivery fee for the new one and hauling away of the faulty one. The online filing was clear and simple, it saved me further phone calls, frustration and headaches dealing with Sears. Thank goodness there is somewhere to turn like the BBB when a company is unwilling to work with you!

After countless attempts to resolve a repair problem with a carpet company, I contacted the BBB to ask for their help. After the company was contacted, communication was restored and the repair was scheduled and was performed to my satisfaction. Thank you so much for your service.

I had an issue with Sears and tried to resolve it through their customer service, after many phone calls and lots of frustration I reached out to the BBB and my issue was resolved within a week, please consider using them and saving yourself the aggravation!

Great business. I would have been stuck without any response or refund from several companies had the BBB not stepped in for me. I would recommend contacting them to anyone that's having an issue with a company that won't respond to issues.
After 4 years of headaches and lost shingles we contacted the Better Business Bureau to lodge a formal complaint. The BBB contacted Sears and things started happening faster. Our roof was repaired with a quick fix and I knew we would end up losing shingles again. We did lose more and again we contacted BBB and gave them our old case number. They reopened our case and really helped us get the situation completely resolved. We had the old shingles taken off (they were only 5 years old) and we now have a new roof. We made sure they nailed the shingles correctly and the roof looks great. We really appreciate the help we got from the BBB. Because of their reputation, businesses act quicker and take us more seriously. If we ever have a problem that's not getting resolved we will contact the Better Business Bureau again.

Cannot thank BBB enough, the issue with my extended warranty co regarding air conditioning system in my van resolved in record time. Would never have had a positive outcome without the BBB's help. Recommend them highly!!
Had a problem with the company who put in my new bathroom walk in shower. 5 months after the initial work it still was not done correctly. With in a week of filing the claim with BBB. it was finished and I got 10% back on my original total. Thanks BBB with out you I am not sure that it would have ever gotten done
I had a problem with a company replacing a defective part. They would respond to me until I filed with the BBB. Thanks to the BBB, the company responded that week, and replaced the defective part! Thanks BBB!
