Anderson Elementary School is a three-section school housing grades kindergarten through six, with a student population of more than 370. The school operates two district programs, Therapeutic Learning Center, and the Primary Grade Language Laboratory for students who need special education. It is a Tribes TLC school designed to maximize student learning and human development. The school provides instruction in many subjects, and uses various instructional software and programs in classrooms and computer labs, including accelerated reader, accelerated math and Brain Gym Research. The parent-teacher organization is an integral part of the school community. Its extracurricular activities include student council, flag football, boy s and girl s basketball, girl s volleyball, coed track, and honors choir. The school has more than 20 certified teachers, and is governed by the Laramie County School District 1. Anderson Elementary School provides meal and transportation services as well, and is located in Cheyenne, Wyo.
