Affordable Cuts is a small, privately owned business that has been serving the Hampton Roads area for over 15 years. We started out as a company that performed basic lawn care. Over time, it became apparent that the needs of Hampton Roads residents was much greater than the typical grass cutting service. So we then graduated to large jobs to include but not limited to: Tree Service, Landscaping, Drainage, Hardscapes, Pavers. If you need help with drainage issues he is one of the best. NO job is too big or too small. We carefully inspect and approve each job with a fine tooth comb before considering it complete. Our commitment to 100% customer satisfaction always has been, and will continue to be our first priority. You can trust us with your every lawn/landscaping need. Others companies say that they will ensure service held to the highest standard. Affordable Cuts not only provides the highest quality of service, but raises its own bar of excellence consistently to give our customers the highest degree of comfort that their request for service is done in a professional, experienced manner. I just had a huge backyard landscape project done at my house, the week before Hurricane Sandy. It looked beautiful when it was finished. I was so worried about what would happen to all the new topsoil, mulch and trees when Hurricane Sandy came through this past Monday. I took a good look at everything yesterday while I was cleaning up and Affordable Cuts did a great job with all the drainage issues I had. All the rain drained properly for the first time ever. None of the topsoil or mulch drained away. I even had grass seed still in place. Affordable Cuts does a great job. They are professional and trustworthy. When the owner, Dave Williams, says he is going to do something, he does it. If he says he will be there on a certain day and time, he is there. If he says he will contact you, he does. That means a lot. Being trustworthy is how Dave earned his good reputation. I definitely would recommend his company for all yard jobs - they do everything.
The guys at Affordable Cuts are first rate. The owner, Dave Williams, is prompt, responsive and willing to work within your budget. The landscaping results are also fantastic. If you need someone for your yard, these are your guys.
David and his crew took a pine tree down and also installed a drainage system from my back yard all the way to the front curb. They are very professional. His crew was great. They were respectful and hard workers. The job was completed in one day. David also took the time to explain everything as the work was being done. He also took the time with his crew to explain or teach. David followed up the next evening with a phone call to see if we had any water issues as we had a very rainy day. He is a genuine person and I would recommend his company to anyone. We will use him again.

Affordable cuts came to take down a large pine tree by my driveway. They did the job very quickly and the price was great. The young guys doing the work were polite and appreciative for the work. I would always recommend them.
In Feb. 2011, our father passed away. He lived in a beautiful home in Virginia Beach; however, he neglected it for years. By sheer dumb luck we called David Williams; thank God we did. Over the past year, he has done an amazing job; on time and on budget. First the grounds: Everything was overgrown and much more; it looked terrible. We agreed on a plan and David and his crews went to work. He performed a miracle as far as Im concerned. The property is stunning. Second, the house: We knew the house was in disrepair; we just did not know how bad it was. There was major water damage; the foundation required major repair and a lot more. I could go on but I think you get the point. As he did with the property, David transformed this house he did a magnificent job. One of the great things about David is that hes one-stop shopping; he can do it all. If you need work done, do yourself a huge favor and call him. Also, the house just went on the market. Enough said.
The job they did for my yard was beyond my expectation. Considering how my yard looks now and how labor intensive the job was to put mulch in a large area and add gravel to the walk way, the price he quoted me was well worth it. Not only that, He also added excess pea gravel to my flower beds and they look beautiful. After a long day at work, I was so happy to see that they did a pretty good job with my backyard. I highly recommend this company. David and his team did a great job!!!
After our front lawn took major damage during main drain repairs, David and his men came to the rescue. Prompt response, the best topsoil I have ever seen, even talked me out of more expensive methods that my friends had recommended. I strongly recommend him for any yard needs. Excellent service, excellent work. Dave and his team did an outstanding job on a landscaping project for our home. They removed old mulch & weeds, put down borders, weed block and new mulch, plus replaced 3 plants we didn't like. My husband and I are very pleased with result. It really looks great. We would use them again, and highly recommend them for any beautifying project.
David and his crew were very professional from the FREE estimate to completion of the job. David was always on site making sure the job was completed as requested by me. The estimate was fair and well below two other estimates I received prior to signing a contract with him. I was impressed with how quickly they could start the job and even more impressed with how quickly they completed it. David & team did two jobs for us, french drains & landscaping. The drains are AMAZING and our yard no longer floods everytime it rains. David's team was professional and quick, they completed each project in one day leaving the yard clean & neat. Pricing was fair and David did everything he said they would do. I'm impressed with his honesty and amount of follow up from the project. He came by a few days later in the rain to make sure the drains were working as expected. I would definately use Affordable Cut's again in the future and recommend them highly to anyone who needs any work in their yard.

I have used this company twice, once for a tree limb and the second time to cut down a tree. Both times I was impressed with the professionalism exhibited not only by David but by his staff as well. The estimate given was the price paid. The yard was cleaned after the tree was removed. The work was performed, both times, within a few days of receiving the estimate. I have no complaints and HIGHLY recommend Affordable Cuts to friends/neighbors. The service was excellent!!!!

This is an outstanding company to do business with. David will do all he promises and more. He is an honest, professional business man. The crew working in my yard was also professional and very polite as well being very hard workers. I had trees trimmed, a tree taken down, landscaping done and much, much more. Pricing was also very good. I couldn't ask for better work or better customer service. I would highly recommend this company.

David is very responsive with answering questions and his staff were professional and polite. A good group to work with. Pricing very fair. They did a french drain project for a 1/3 of an acre and did it quickly and efficiently. Additionally had them remove 2 large trees and it was amazing to watch and I was surprised with such tight quarters how they could drop those trees with no issue. Also they were very neat with cleanup after they finished the job. Most appreciated!

Did a complete landscaping project in my yard which included Pavers and tree removal. They underestimated my project by $1800 and did not inform me until half the work was done. Did not help my budget! Yard looks excellent, but started having drainage problems by my backdoor which was a result of not leveling the yard correctly. Tried to give them chance to correct issue - refused. Now I have to hire another contractor to fix the issue caused by this company. Do not recommend using this company for paver work. And be careful on the details of the estimate to prevent underestimating your projects.

They were unbelievable how they took out my tree. It was in a very tight place and they did not break anything. David was always there and let me know everything that was going on.

very professional when they did my estimate. Great follow up and discussed my estimate in detail versus just faxing like most landscapers. Good pricing also.
