This is a wonderful organization and the team really has the distribution day in perfect order. However, last month, I missed the day to pick up a box. I thought it was the following week. I do not have a car and told the girl who helps me the wrong date. Its been over a month since receiving my benefits so all bills and rent is paid. Food stamps on the 7th of the month and it's 77 dollars and not enough for the month and I depend on the chip in kitchen to help me during this difficult time. I called twice last week and twice this week and haven't gotten a call back. A loaf of bread and peanut butter and jelly would be fine, some milk and oatmeal? The 7th will be here shortly. I have gone a week without food except what my neighbors brought last night. I hate having to beg for food. I used to cook for many and have fed literally thousands of ppl. I also worked for the Meals on Wheels in Austin, TX and Rockport, TX. My life is just very difficult right now.
