the doctor is a good listener and problem solver, with a minimum time in surgery and excellent follow up.

The surgery went well. The first two weeks were a little more pain full then I had expected. I ended back in emergency care and then in a rehab center. All the people that cared for me every where I was at were very nice.

Everything was very well explained. My back surgery has been successful. After four weeks I have little or no pain.Everyone has been very professional, kind and attentive. I would definitely recommend Dr B

Dr. Behrend took the time to explain my diagnosis and surgery options. He took the time to listen to what I think is best for me while guiding me to the option that worked. He and his team are very efficient in procedure days and all pre/post visits. Lori helped me through my surgery day and post op needs. She takes the time to listen and advise expectations.

Overall, the entire office, Dr. Behrend, and Lori care about their patients. I feel like I am in good hands and will be taken care of by this team.

Was reluctant to have spinal surgery but the orientation explained by Dr. Behrend helped me to be more comfortable with the intendedprocedure. The worst part of the surgery was the first two weeks of recovery. A lot of pain! Then the next four weeks were tolerable and got better every day. Now all the pain is gone and I am very pleased. My follow ups were all with NP Lorie and she was very knowledgable and helped me to understand all that I needed to know.

Dr. Behrend is not only a great surgeon but has great bedside manners! Listens and addresses each concern! Feel blessed to have had him as my surgeon!

When it comes to back/ spinal surgery it is a very scaring thing to conccider. i was living with chronic pain for almost 10 years and have done everything i could to help relive my pain, surgery was my last option. I have seen many doctors, and it took me months to find Dr. Bahrend i shopped around and did my research. He is amazing he listens to ALL of your concerns, and does all the necessary test to help find out exactly what is going on and how to approach it. the surgery went perfectly and as expected. my pain has been reduced by over 80% and couldn't be happier.. thank you so so much!!

I was in an extreme amount of pain for about 8 weeks and could not stand, walk or sit. After multiple MRI denials by my medical insurance, I paid for the MRI out of pocket. After an appointment with doctor Behrend and his assistant Lori Troxel, they took care of everything in such a professional, compassionate manner.

I have not one negative thing to say! Dr. Behrend came into my life when I could hardly function with simple day to day tasks. I had been suffering for 25 years with severe low back pain. Through the years not one Dr. would get to the root of my problem. I will never forget my first visit. He looked me in the eye and told me that I was fixable. That he could do what needed to be done. As scared as I was, I totally trusted him with all my heart! The day of surgery I could tell right away that I was fixed! I even cried as I did laps around the hospital. The recovery took some time. I had a bad reaction to the glue that was used and Dr. Behrend took the time to scrape it off and help me with the itching pain. The amazing staff was always there with my millions of questions and phone calls. What a great practice Dr. Behrend has! I will forever be grateful each day to him. I pray that his talented hands will be blessed to help many others as he has helped me! I love you Dr. Behrend!

My experience with Dr. Behrend and his staff was wonderful. Dr Behrend is very kind, compassionate, and listened to my needs. I had surgery on L4-L5 and L5-S1 and would be lying if I said I didn't have any ups and downs with my recovery process but overall the expectations of the experience were met. I'm no longer having the sciatic pain that caused me to resort to surgery in the first place. I'm very pleased with the way things went and I've begun doing things that pain has prevented me from doing in the past.

Because I was in so much pain, my quality of life was bad. Family & friends discouraged me from having surgery at my age, 76. I still want to function on my own. Dr, Behrend is knowledgeable, kind, compassionate and accurate. I had a serious extruding disc that was causing an immense amount of pain and numbness. Within the first visit Dr. Behrend had x-rays taken and developed a treatment plan that didn't delay getting me on the road to recovery. The only downside is that there isn't a clone of this wonderful man so that he can do surgery and clinical appointments at the same time. I went from being bedridden to back on my feet almost immediately after surgery. I have already recommended Dr. Behrend to friends and family who have needed an orthopedist and would not hesitate to recommend him or see him again if the need ever arose. Thank you for giving me back my life Dr. Behrend!
