Founded in 1951, the Brandy Station Volunteer Fire Department serves and protects agricultural and residential communities in Brandy Station, Va. It provides a range of fire prevention, rescue and emergency medical services. The department s equipment list includes pumpers, tankers and engines equipped with rescue extrication portable pumps. The Brandy Station Volunteer Fire Department hosts a variety of fundraising activities, such as weekly bingos, annual carnivals and parade events. It conducts cardiopulmonary resuscitation classes and training sessions on emergency medical services support. The department has been operational for more than 50 years and has over 40 members on its staff.
