Established in 1953, Benbrook Elementary School is a part of the Fort Worth Independent School District. The school offers academic programs to students in prekindergarten through grade six. The school conducts classes in reading, writing, basic skills, English, math, science, social studies, music, and health and physical education. Benbrook Elementary School has a parent-teacher association that organizes educationally centered community events throughout the year. The school has a media center that assists students in the development of research skills and offers a range of books, magazines and other study materials. Benbrook Elementary School also offers an accelerated reader program that puts emphasis on students reading skills.
