Prospect Mill Elementary School, located in Bel Air, Md., has been operational for more than 30 years. It provides academic education to students in grades kindergarten through five and enrolls more than 850 students. The school provides basic education in English, language arts, math, science and social studies. It also provides health and physical education. The school emphasizes on vocabulary building, reading, writing and communication skills. Its Job Squad Program provides opportunities to students to develop work ethics and emphasizes on character education. The school provides food and basic amenities to the needy children of Harford and Cecil counties in Maryland. Additionally, the school organizes various extracurricular activities, such as dance, musical concerts and art shows. It organizes sports day, and offers nutritional counseling services and after school programs. The school publishes Pandarama, an annual magazine. It has a library that provides a large collection of curriculum books and access to the Internet. The school also offers a parent-teacher association. Prospect Mill Elementary School is a part of the Harford County Public Schools district.
