I love how Dr. Markouizos takes care of my children. He's always been very polite. I have been coming here for 17 years and would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Demetrios Markouizos is fantastic with kids, and with worried moms too :) Highly recommended doctor who knows what he is talking about. Be forewarned the office and front desk are often busy and they sometimes run behind schedule.

Truly an Incredible Doctor and Person. He was my pediatrician and when I had kids and found out he was still practicing I had to goto him. There is no one else I would trust with my kids health. If you want a caring doctor with great bedside manner in a clean nice office this is the doctor to goto!!!!!!!!

Came to see the doctor today because our son had a cough and runny nose. Everything is always so clean here and well organized. They are always available to see our son and Dr. Markouizos and his team is always accurate when its comes to the diagnosis.

Since my children were born I have entrusted their health with Dr. Demetrios Markouizos at PHCQ. I could go somewhere closer to my home, but we do not because the personal care, satisfaction and respect with which Dr. Markouizos has always treated our family. We trust Dr. Markouizos and the other associates Dr. Chen and Dr. Chung and their attention to detail with regard to our kids. Also, they genuinely care for our children and always make everything comfortable and easy for us.

I've known Dr. Markouizos over 25 years. He is the most caring, compassionate, knowledgeable, professional doctor I have ever dealt with. My son was born with various health issues, and Dr. Markouizos made himself available to us literally 24 hrs. a day, 7 days a week. During the worst times (surgeries, one diagnosis after the other) he was there with reassurance and he was ALWAYS right. He always sent us to the best drs and I am happy to say that our son, graduauated pre-med from Stony Brook (after others told us he should be institutionalized). He is truly the best. God bless him.

Dr. Markouizos and team are excellent pediatricians. I have been taking my 3 year old son to their office since he was a newborn. I fully trust them especially with Dr. Mark's deep experience and knowledge. They take the time to explain things in detail which is invaluable for a first time mom. I also very much appreciate the going above and beyond attitude such as checking in when my child is sick etc. We actually moved away from Astoria two years ago but continue to see Dr. Markouizos and staff despite the commute!

Dr. Markouizos has provided quality care to me and my family for over 22 years. From the moment I was born he was there and has helped me ever since. For a brief period, I went to other doctors when my insurance changed and never received the kind of care that he gave. Upon getting very sick and misdiagnosed by a different doctor, I found my way back to him and he immediately knew what was wrong. I left feeling relieved and recovered rapidly. He goes above and beyond any healthcare provider and has a great heart. THIS is what makes a great doctor. To have him in my life is a blessing and in the future I hope that my kids will be able to see such an amazing person.

Dr. Markouizos is wonderful pediatrician who has been giving exceptional care for my two children in the past 10 years. He's thorough, professional, and very knowledgeable. He always ensures that all of our questions are answered and any concerns are addressed. He genuinely cares. We feel relieved after every appointment, because we know that my kids got the best care. Overall he is a phenomenal doctor who will go above and beyond for his patients. He always provides the best care for his patients and refers them to the best physicians out there. I have known Dr Markouizos for 13 years now. He treats all three of my kids. Believe it or not I travel from Long Island to Astoria just for Dr Markoiuzos. I do not trust my childrens health with anyone but him. He is so caring, gentle and knowledgeable. I feel like family. Actually, all my cousins come to Dr Markouizos too.. some that liuve in Staten Island and some come from brooklyn. He is the best.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS HERE! Absolutely horrible, don't care about your child's well being at all. They will poke your child endlessly to test for anything your insurance will cover every single time you go there even with no symptoms at all.. Greedy and unprofessional not sure how these people even have medical degrees. really really terrible.

I have been coming to Dr. Markouizos as my pediatrician since birth. Now in my college years, I look back and I am thankful to have had a doctor that always listened, was attentive, and always puts his patients first. It's one thing to make a patient feel better, but another to do so with grace while making sure to always maintain a patient's peace of mind. I cannot emphasize more how much I would recommend Dr. Markouizos.
