The Zeigler Fire Department is a full-services public agency that is located in Zeigler, Ill. The department works to protect the lives, property and environment from the threats and occurrences of emergencies. It covers an area of more than 25 square miles and provides services to over 2,000 individuals. The Zeigler Fire Department serves the residents of Six Mile Township in Franklin County, Ill. It also provides mutual aid services to local departments. The department is a member of the Coal Belt Fire Protective Association and Illinois Fire Chief's Association. The Zeigler Fire Department is operated by the City of Zeigler, Ill., which additionally manages police, water and sewer, street and treasurer departments.
