We were looking to rent commercial space. They were late for appointments, unprofessional, rude, did not submit our offer to the owner of the property, and just an all out bad experience. I am happy we never did a deal with them as the broker, and we never will deal with a property that has their sign out front.

My initial experience with C&A was a good one. I co-leased with a sister a 4 bedroom condo via phone calls and fax from out of state. Crites' people were helpful, even made a hasty call to the local electric company when they failed to hook-up electricity. As usual, I did a walk through of the condo upon taking possession of it. The home was in great shape except for the carpet, which was destroyed but wasn't a big deal for us with two young children in the home. Six months later I contacted Crites and switched off the lease with sisters's hubby added. 2 years later there was notable damage to the home caused by the husband. I recently rented a new apartment and a reference call to Crites weilded a response of "I would NOT rent to her again." Further inquiry revealed that the woman who'd given the answer wasn't sure which "lessee" had caused the damage, then, it was the "One with the kids" as an afterthought. Better record keeping is in order; it nearly cost me an apartment.
