Dr. Sanfield is board certified in Internal Medicine, Endocrinology and Metabolism, and is also board certified as a Diabetes Educator. Having received many honors and awards over the years, Dr. Sanfield has been named “Top Doc” by Hour Magazine over ten times, and voted as a “Top Doctor in America” by Consumer Checkbook ~ both of which speak to his passion for his patients. Dr. Sanfield has participated in many clinical trials, and his major focus is on thyroid disorders, insulin pump therapy, adrenal disorders including adrenal masses, and pituitary tumors. He is a current member of the Endocrine Society, American Diabetes Association (ADA), American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE), and American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE).

Her clinical interests include thyroid disease and thyroid ultrasound, diabetes (both Type 1 and Type 2), and osteoporosis. ln particular, she feels it is important to help patients find practical ways to deal with their chronic illnesses. She works closely with patients to individualize care plans.
