General Info
In business over 60 years, Peoria School of Ballroom Dancing offers lessons in all the ballroom dances in both American & International styles. All lessons taught by International coach and adjudicator. Training for competition dancing, and student/teacher testing are offered as well. Practice space available for all. With both private and group lessons, partners aren't required. We teach singles and couples of all ages. We custom choreograph wedding Waltzes and routines for all occasions plus coaching for competition.

If you are looking for a dance teacher who knows his stuff, Mr. Peoria is the instructor for you. In my opinion, he is best suited for serious ballroom dancers who want to learn technique and styling in addition to syllabus footwork. Mr. Peoria is old school and takes tremendous pride in what he does. He is a demanding teacher but YOU WILL LEARN!

My wife and I are International amateur competitors who have competed in international dance sport through out the United States and recently located to Connelsville from N Carolina. After experiencing several schools in the Pgh area and numerous instsructors who claimed they were Intdernational certified and were not we heard from word of mouth about Peoria Studios in Youngswood. Fortunate we were - to find a qualified certified International Coach and Adjudicator who completed his training and exams in England with the ISTD the Imperial School of Teachers of Dance over 50 years ago. What a blessing - we don't have the cost of gas and travel time to Pgh and the cost of parking - and Joe [Mr Peoria charges only half of what we were being charged in Pgh - plus he gives a full hour of private instruction instead of only 40 minutes we were getting in Pgh. His school [he built himself on his private acerage] is coviently located next to the Youngwood Area Park and Pool - he's best
