Established in 1947, the Liberty Township Fire Department works to protect the life and property of the residents and visitors of Liberty Township, Ohio. It provides a range of fire prevention and suppression, public education, hazardous material response and emergency medical services. The department covers an area of more than 18 square miles and serves over 13,700 residents. The Liberty Township Fire Department s staff is comprised of career and volunteer firefighters, captains, engineers, paramedics, a fire prevention officer and a fire chief. Its equipment includes various rescue vehicles, ambulances and pumpers. The Liberty Township Fire Department also administers several fire education programs for the community.
