- Immunizations
- Internal MedicineWe use an ultrasound here in the hospital as well as have an internal medicine specialist come to the practice to perform ultrasounds and a cardiologist to perform echocardiograms.
- EndoscopyDr. Angela Bross joined us at the end of 2022. Dr. James Mitzel has now retired. The staff includes an additional veterinarian, Dr. James Mullen, two to three licensed veterinary technicians, a network of skilled receptionists, and assistants. While on the surface, the building may look the same, Pine Meadow Veterinary Hospital has progressed with modern and innovative veterinary medicine, offering digital radiology, ultrasound, endoscopy, laser therapy, and a number of in-house laboratory diagnostic services including blood work, fungal cultures, skin cytology, and fecal panels.
- Urinary Tract InfectionFor our older patients, a urine sample analysis is also crucial. A urinalysis can show whether the kidneys are effectively concentrating urine, whether crystals are present (which could indicate bladder stones), and whether there is any indication of a urinary tract infection.
- UltrasoundWe can test blood, urine, and feces samples ourselves thanks to our on-site lab. These tests’ data, just as ultrasound or X-ray images, are crucial for making a diagnosis. These findings can be used to evaluate your pet’s health and identify any illnesses or other disorders, like canine influenza.
- RadiologyX-rays are the most prevalent and practical diagnostic technique in veterinary medicine. Our veterinarians require an accurate diagnosis in order to treat an animal properly. Using electromagnetic radiation to penetrate the tissue, radiographs can reveal the pet’s bones and internal organs. Among other things, X-rays can be used to show damaged bones, heart issues, and ingested items.
- LesionsEven though pet owners may be worried about odorous breath and ugly tartar buildup, routine dental care has benefits that go beyond aesthetics. Dental care helps prevent further infection, gingivitis or pyorrhea (infection of tissues surrounding the teeth), tartar, and plaque.
