I highly recommend Andrea's Italian Restaurant for pizza. Our family eats out alot and this is the first time we have tried this restaurant. I must say that the pizza's were fantastic. You can tell the difference when dough is freshly prepared. The pizza sauce was not overly stated (sweet or salty) They also presented a wide assortment of toppings. Before leaving we ordered our favorite for dessert, cannolis. the presentation was beautiful with powered sugar and chocolate drizzled over top. The crust was light, I believe home made however the taste of the filling was little disapointing, the ricotta cream had very little flavor to talk about.

I am biased because I have eaten at Andrea's for over 20 years. The sandwiches are on bread baked there from scratch. The menu is varied but not extensive. Nice atmosphere, neighborhood restaurant. Prices are in line with the quality of food, and the staff makes you feel at home. They use a lot of fresh ingredients. You will not be eating 'chain' food here. You now its a good place if the locals congregate there regularly!

We came there to celebrate the end of the soccer season. We ordered a place for 15 kids. In the restaurant it took more than 45 minuets to take an order, and after that we waited for 2 hours to get our pizza. The waitress said "it was due to the number of people in the restaurant". And she payed attention to everybody except kids. The party was ruined, the children were tired, and the little ones started to cry, because they wanted to eat at the restaurant but nobody fed them there. A lot of adults came to have dinner, and they were getting their meal. But kids and their parents were very disappointed. Finally, we left the restaurant with a pizza in a box. The party was over and ruined because of the "Andrea's". When I tried to say that at the register, the waitress answered to me :"This is OK". As I undersood, this is an "Italian style". I wouldn't recommend it to anybody: do not waste your time. And: you wouldn't have any discounts, so don't waste your money, go somewhere else.

Great service and great people. Very friendly environment. Food was great and pizzas are the best in Hampton Roads. Go there and try it for yourself.
