Yorktown Elementary School is accredited by the North Central Association and offers educational programs to students in kindergarten through grade five. It educates students in several subjects, such as English, math, science, social studies, and health and physical education. The school also employs various support personnel, including a librarian, guidance counselor, resource teacher, speech therapist, nurse and music teachers. The school has a parent-teacher organization that provides an opportunity to discuss the mutual concerns of parents and teachers and to foster communication with the school and community. Yorktown Elementary School is governed by Mt. Pleasant Township Community School Corporation and is located in Yorktown, Ind.
