I've been a tenant of YPMG's for almost a yearr. YPMG has always been very courteous to me on the phone, I've never been hung up on or spoken to by YPMG in any disrespectful manner on the phone or in person.Their very prompt with any maintenance issues that I may have at my rental unit, which was built in 1911 & is not bug nor rodent infested. Like all tenants of YPMG, in our leases it states clearly that it is the tenants responsibility to keep your unit bug & rodent free, not the landlords. Tenants that complain about YPMG, I suggest that you all go back and reread your lease that you willfully signed & agreed to. I've read complaints about blinds, handicap facilities & smoking issues. During the walk thru's were told to look at everything & at the time if we see anything that needs to be repaired or taken care of, let them know, after that the blinds are the tenants responsibility. Most rentals these days are smoke free, I would think you most smokers who are complaining about the smoke free units would know that by now..?? Along with..a verbal promise of things that will get done for you is no good unless it's in writing. And if u r handicapped, Why would you not rent a rental that accomodates you, for handicapps..?? As tenants we have responsibilities, make sure you are doing yours. I have no issues with YPMFG, they're very good Landlords. My had a leak once, I only had to give them a written notice about it once and it was taken care of properly in a timely manner....Thank you YPMG....!

Prospective tenants BEWARE!!! If you have any problems with your unit, expect to live with them for a long time. The apartment I had through York Property Management leaked for the last two months I lived there. Both bedrooms leaked and the laundry room leaked. Nobody even came out to look at the problems - apparently they didn't care that we were getting dripped on while we were sleeping! I didn't even get any reduction in rent because of the problems. Then, to top it off, when I moved out it took over a month to get my security deposit back. The bigger problem is that every time I called they would tell me the check was being cut that day or the next day. That went on for about 3 weeks. Also, don't bother leaving a message because they won't return your call. I have been renting for the past 3 years and this company is by far the WORST management company I've ever had to deal with. Avoid them at all costs.
