The York Fairground was founded in 1856 by the York County Agricultural Society. Services offered at the fair include indoor and outdoor pavilion, rest area, benches, parking facilities for more than 4,500 cars, first-aid services, baby service center, and group bus packages. The fairground offers various free attractions, such as granpa cratchet and the puppetmobile, the elephant encounter, hambone express, sandscapes sand sculpture.
