The York County Transportation Authority works to provide an efficient public transportation system and transportation services to the residents of York County, Pa. It offers services to more than 6,000 people each day to get to work, medical facilities, school and other life sustaining activities. In addition to a public bus system of over 10 routes serving York and its surrounding suburbs, the authority provides countywide shared ride services, park-and-ride lots and employer subsidized shuttles. The York County Transportation Authority operates nearly 80 buses and provides approximately 1.5 million trips a year. Located in York, Pa., it works with several human service agencies to support and make providers aware of its services.
