When the Huntington Beach Wild Birds Unlimited closed down, I had two stores that were closest to where I live: Yorba Linda (which isn't exactly around the corner), and Carson (which isn't exactly around the corner, either) I chose Yorba Linda, because I had been in the area more than once. The store has this down-home Country cottage-type feel to it. Don't let the name of the business fool you: They may have "Wild Birds" in their name, but they do NOT sell wild birds, or any type of birds, for that matter. They are "Backyard Bird-Feeding Specialists", but, whether it's your backyard or your front yard, they've got you covered. Bird Seed, Bird Feeders, Bird Houses, they've got it. In addition to stuff for our Fine Feathered Friends, they have a few things for those mischief-makers we love to observe: Squirrels. Not only that, but they also have a few bat houses, as well. Of course, they wouldn't be wild bird feeding specialists without having their share of Hummingbird feeders, and of course, bird baths. Keep in mind, though, they're more than a bird-related store. They have decorations for around the house. The staff are EXTREMELY helpful and friendly. As a matter of fact, they have A LOT more personality than most employees in places I've shopped before. They will answer all of your questions and help you with your bird feeding projects. I've been shopping at WBU for at least 2 1/2 years and I always look forward to my next visit. If you've ever passed by the shop on your way somewhere, swing by and give them a look. They'll certainly make you feel at home, and it's always fun to share your bird stories with them. Before you know it, you're on a First-Name Basis and you've made some new friends!
