  Throughout my high school years neighbors were beginning to hire me for bigger jobs: roofs, skylights, bay windows & front doors. I hired a buddy and we worked 7 days a week all summer. This continued during college. In 1987 I received a BS in Chemistry from Northland College in Wisconsin so Mom wouldn't have to worry about me landing a career flipping burgers...and Rowe Roofing & Carpentry was born. At some point early on I realized roofing was not fun anymore so I simply changed the name to Rowe Carpentry.

  Three floors of additional living space seamlessly join the main house in this wood addition. New Hardie Plank siding miters into the existing construction. Fit and finish of the interior floors are color and width matched to provide a sense of continuity to the living spaces. The result, as you walk through the house, and up the stairs, is of exploring an extension of the original home.

  "I started in business for myself when I was in elementary school, mowing lawns, fixing things, and painting houses for neighbors. I learned to take pride in my work after a talk from my mom...I did a sloppy job on a neighbor's lawn and when we drove to church the next morning, she saw it, and let me know what she thought of my work. When Mom said she was embarrassed by my work I was devastated. After church I re-cut that lawn.
