This school is amazing! As a mom of a 2 1/2 yr old boy entering preschool in sept at 3 through the early intervention program I was blown away by this school! After the detailed tour where I was able to bring him and see how he interacted and took the classrooms I was won over. The classrooms are big and have all different activities for the children. They have a gym, music room, library, stimulus room and more. My son is very functional and has no behavioral issues but has been diagnosed as mildly autistic and non-verbal...I am confident that this school is exactly what he needs! The speech therapist I met with was amazing and all of the teachers welcomed him with open arms to explore their classrooms even with their own classes going on. It was a warm and inviting atmosphere which is exactly what I wanted for him. They integrate their classrooms so that he can have normal activities as well as his ABA throughout the day. I highly recommend this school!
I am blown away by the expert education my preschooler has gotten in this school thus far. It is set up with class room setting like a small elementary school. They have a music teacher, a library and gym class. They also have many fundraising events that the children love. My son is presently in the PUK program , he is in the Longwood SD, fully paid for by the State (call your school district's special education dept and be place on the list when your child is 3yrs if your in the district) My son is main stream and in a non intergraded class. This means that this school also has special programs and class rooms for children with disabilities. It is my understanding that this school specializes in screening and which helps with early intervention of children with these disabilities. That is so important! I can not say enough about how great this school is and you need only to visit to understand how happy and well taken care of ALL children are in this school.
